Autour des Res Gestae Divi Augusti

Description: core of the Ph. D. dissertation: «Épigraphie en réseau: réflexions sur les potentialités d’innovations dans les publications épigraphiques numériques par l’usage des langages de codifications pour la representation d’épigraphies complexes.» Through the four inscriptions of the fundamental Res Gestae Divi Augusti, and the complexity of this historical text at several levels (epigraphical, philological, archaeological, historiographical, historical...), we're trying to represent *historical information* inside a computer system in order to create *historical encoding* and *historical links* between inscriptions that a computer could process («métasource» as defined by J. Ph. Genet). The goal is to link, through a *network of primary sources* represented thanks to information technologies and networks, inscriptions that are historically correlated to the RGDA.

Implementation description: The first step is to encode several layers of information: from the stone (epigraphical layers) to the historical features of these ancient material: - Res Gestae Divi Augusti; - inscriptions and other primary sources that that are historically correlated to the RGDA.

Other Related Resources: Epidoc guidelines for the first layers (epigraphical features and philological features) for the diplomatic editions of the four inscriptions. TEI would be use for the critical edition of the text (tags of the P4 used: <pb> , <div0> , <div1> , <p> , <lb> , <rs> , <supplied> , <abbr> , <milestone> , <date> , <note> , <gap> , <unclear> ).
