DD gave a brief report on TEI Council meeting.

Discussion of media formats. Concensus is to continue work in the area, but with realization that such advice will likely end up as a TEI paper, rather than as part of the Guidelines.

With respect to Corpus applications, Council recommended more discussion of various methods, in particular of tghe current TEI methods.

Council approves continuing canonical reference schemes.

Software examples — need a document that discusses the software itself. So far we have JH's TEI extended pointer -> XPointer converter and FV's implimentations.

On media formats [?...?] important to make certain assumptions explicit.

JC is seeking input on SOW05, particularly from NI. Need to discuss how CES and EAGLES do this stuff, as they are the two main TEI-related applications of this kind of markup. [?...?]
