The jTEI (Journal of the Text Encoding Initiative) Article customization is a highly restrictive customization (only about 80 elements are included) used primarily by the Journal team to encode articles and editorial pieces for publication in jTEI. Authors submitting to the journal are also asked to use the schema when composing their articles if they can, since this encourages conformity with journal guidelines and practices, and assists the journal team in the review and publication workflow.
The customization is also included in the TEI framework for Oxygen, where it is accompanied by useful Author-mode CSS rendering and a transformation scenario for creating word-processor output in ODT format.
